Rough Creek Lodge is a destination resort located in the Central Texas Hill Country. The lodge is composed of 39 guestrooms, 4 cabins, spa facilities, a great room, and conference center. The exposed timber structure for the great room is composed of glue- laminated arch-shaped queen-post trusses, supported by spaced timber columns. Steel rods and plate connections tie the timber members in a clear and precise fashion. The exposed wood structure and timber ceiling add warmth and interest to the central gathering space of the lodge.
