The park’s historic Custodian’s Cottage was restored and repurposed as the park’s Visitor’s Center. An original courtyard trellis was rebuilt will peeled pole framing created from found local lumber. Thick stone bearing walls were repaired and new steel framing was designed to be concealed where new openings were required for handicap accessibility. An adjacent historic park structure was also restored and repurposed as a restroom building.
