Oak Point Park

Project Details

  • The city of Plano is serious about its parks. Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve is its largest: 800-acres of trails and park land complemented by an amphitheater and pavilion.

Hatch Ulland Ownen Architects designed the pavilion and adjacent restroom with a handsome material palette of Texas limestone, structural steel, and timber. Sloping roofs, light in profile, seem to soar above a heroic stone base, while tongue and groove roof decking provides warmth and intimacy to the space below.
