“My interest in structural engineering stemmed from my love for architecture. Growing up as a child in Dallas, I was surrounded by iconic buildings from world-renowned architects. I was curious about the mechanics of building design, leading me to pursue an engineering and architecture at The University of Texas at Austin. Studying for a degree rooted in art and science, I began to understand the intersection between form and function. Structural engineering acknowledges the aesthetic quality of design as well as the technical aspects."
