“As a young man, I always found myself engaged in science, whether it be understanding the mechanisms of the brain through biology or through structures such as bending, shear, and stiffness. Structural engineering was the perfect career opportunity to explore the mechanism of structures. One of the other aspects that make structural engineering such a meaningful career, is the industry is also constantly growing and improving, whether it be through the integration of sustainable materials, improved construction methods, or new research resulting in updated building codes. All the while, keeping the fundamentals of engineering the same.”
